Inspection of micro-hole machining quality is critical for ensuring product quality. Traditional manual inspection methods suffer from low efficiency and high subjectivity, making them unsuitable for mass production needs. This is particularly challenging for micro-holes with diameters of only tens of micrometers and extremely demanding roughness requirements.

Solution

Meet Precision independently developed a precision micro-hole intelligent inspection system based on machine vision and AI algorithm technology. The system captures micro-hole images using high-resolution industrial cameras and combines them with deep learning algorithms for automatic identification and measurement of parameters including diameter, roundness, and roughness, enabling online 100% inspection of micro-hole quality. This approach builds upon fundamental research in micro-hole EDM machining, which has demonstrated the capability to achieve aperture errors ≤ ±1μm and hole spacing errors ≤ ±2.5μm in thin stainless steel workpieces .

Results

This intelligent inspection technology significantly reduces labor intensity while improving processing efficiency, achieving 100% inspection pass rates. The system provides real-time feedback on machining quality data, supporting process optimization and creating a closed-loop control system of "machining-inspection-optimization." The technology has been applied to outgoing inspection of all Meet Precision spinneret products, ensuring every shipped spinneret achieves micron-level precision and providing customers with reliable quality assurance.
