Technical Challenge

Lyocell fiber, as an environmentally friendly regenerated cellulose fiber, imposes extremely high requirements on spinneret channel quality during its spinning process. The inner wall roughness of straight holes must be controlled within Ra ≤ 0.1μm; otherwise, uneven spinning solution flow will lead to issues such as broken filaments and fiber breakage during fiber formation. Traditional processing techniques struggle to achieve this precision, resulting in long-term dependence on imports.

Solution

Meet Precision's R&D team innovated a multi-process composite machining and precision polishing technology for spinneret hole channels, successfully solving the technical challenge of achieving inner and outer wall roughness of Ra ≤ 0.1μm. This technology combines microfabrication with surface modification methods, ensuring mirror-smooth hole channel walls and minimizing spinning solution flow resistance.

Results

This technological achievement is comparable to imported products, breaking foreign technological monopolies and achieving comprehensive localization of Lyocell fiber spinnerets. The products are now in use at major domestic Lyocell fiber manufacturers including the China Textile Academy, China Textile Lyocell, Jiangsu Jinrongtai, Baoding Swan, and Hubei Jinhuan, with excellent trial feedback. After adopting Meet Precision spinnerets, Lyocell fiber production quality significantly improved, with filament breakage rates reduced by over 30%, creating considerable economic benefits for customers. Meet Precision holds multiple patents in this field, including an automatic punching device for Lyocell annular spinnerets .
