Overview
A composite spinning pack (also known as a bicomponent spin pack or conjugate spinning component) is the core precision assembly that enables the production of high-value-added bicomponent fibers. It is designed to keep two or more different polymer melts completely separate until they meet at a precise point within the spinneret orifice, forming a single filament with a specific cross-sectional structure. This technology combines the distinct properties of multiple polymers—such as PET, PA, PP, PE, PPS, or PTT—to create fibers with enhanced functionality that cannot be achieved with a single polymer.
Technical Principles & Configuration
Our composite spinning packs are engineered to meet the demanding requirements of conjugate spinning, where different polymer melts are extruded through separate channels and metered by individual gear pumps before entering the same spin pack. The packs feature a sophisticated distribution system—typically a stack of precision-machined distribution plates—that guides the melts to the spinneret orifices in a controlled manner.
